Top 5 Technology Companies Building a Smarter Future

The last decade was full of scientific and technological achievements, that might have made you think everything has already been seen. But don’t be tricked, it is just the beginning of an amazing future filled with technological wonders that will give our lives a new dimension.

At the start of 2020, we can claim with certainty that artificial intelligence will play an essential role in our technological future, which is coming faster than you think! But who are the main creators of the powerful AI world? Keep scrolling and meet the top 5 companies that are building a smarter future for all of us!

1. Amazon

In 1999, Jeff Bezos, founder, and president of Amazon said: There’s no guarantee that can be a successful company. What we’re trying to do is very complicated

Today, more than 20 years later, Mr. Bezos is on the top of one of the most valuable public companies in the world.

Amazon is a trade giant that has invested in both: the consumer’s side of AI and in applications for businesses. The company is worldwide known for Alexa, the personal assistant for voice-controlled devices, which can perform various tasks for you. Also, Amazon Web Services (AWS) currently has more than 10,000 customers, including Siemens, Netflix, NFL, and NASA.

So, where will Amazon be in 20 years from now? One thing is for sure, it will be worth the world’s attention.

2. Apple

Apple has been very busy in recent years by acquiring AI start-ups, which make artificial intelligence a key part of the company’s future. In December 2018, John Giannandrea was officially named as head of the AI and Machine Learning department at Apple.

That means he is the most important person in overseeing the development of products such as Siri, an intelligent assistant that offers an easier way to get things done on Apple devices. Also, under Giannandrea’s management is a new Create ML tool that MacOS and iOS developers can use to create advanced training courses for their apps.

Seems that AI found its safe place in Apple and it sounds very promising for years to come!

3. Google

It’s impossible to talk about major AI companies in the world, without mentioning Google. Although this company tends to fascinate its users since day one, Google’s main goal is to continue to improve the user’s experience in the future, working together with AI.

The result will be much advanced ambient computing, which means smarter devices and software which will be able to complain about various of the user’s requirements with minimal effort.

Can you imagine a 10 times more advanced version of Google Assistant than we use today? We’re impatient as well!

4. IBM

IBM is a multinational technology company that has been using and improving AI for more than 60 years! We can safely say that this company was the witness of AI’s birth, and it has remained in close touch with artificial intelligence to this day.

One of the most successful results was IBM Watson, the AI platform for business, that helps you optimize your employee’s time, by automating complex processes and predicting future outcomes.

IBM’s customer group fascinated by this AI platform includes KPMG, Big Four Auditor and Bradesco, one of the largest banks in Brazil.

5. Microsoft

Just like Amazon, Microsoft involved AI on both consumers and the business sides. Microsoft’s AI digital assistant Cortana is in the same rank with Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant, so it’s easy to imagine how great features it implies.

As Microsoft claims: Cortana helps you achieve more with less effort. It is an assistant that works across your devices and integrates with hundreds of Windows apps.

Also, AI is the most important part of the company’s Azure Cloud service, well known for providing chatbots and machine learning services to some of the most important names in the business.

So, can you imagine how far Microsoft can go in the future, with all of the AI potentials waiting for us just around the corner?
