About The Speaker
Elena Sokolova
Elena earned her PhD in machine learning at the University of Nijmegen, The Netherlands. She worked in a diverse set of companies (Booking.com, Facebook, Amazon) leading machine learning projects first as a scientist and then as an engineering manager. In 2019 she was nominated for the Women in Tech award as European Data lead of the year. She is now leading a machine learning team in Amazon Alexa Research, where she together with her team works on developing cutting-edge deep learning algorithms that allow Alexa to speak like a human.
